Everything has it’s time and it really seems like web directories time is gone. Google, Yahoo! and other major search engines are now trying to exclude small and not important directories just because for spam.

One of the most famous web directory scripts, Barracuda has officialy drop down the web directory project just because this problem. Boonex, Barracuda’s creators announced that they will continue developing a new web platform under the same name and logo.

Boonex says that web directories software can harm your website and they can even create irreversible problems and maybe even ban on major search engines.

Barracuda is no longer available for download. We will not continute its development. Instead, the name and the icon will be used for a whole new product, which is now being developed at BoonEx.
